Serena Williams, who is one of the best tennis players ever, deeply feels that she would have faced a massive ban of 20 years and some Grand Slams taken away had she been found positive for doping.
The retired tennis player said this when giving her take on Jannik Sinner facing a three-month ban in February 2025 after failing two drug tests.
In Jan 2025, the Italian tennis player won the Australian Open.
Sinner said (Time): “I love the guy, I love his game. He’s great for the sport. I’ve been put down so much, I don’t want to bring anyone down. Men’s tennis needs him.”
“If I did that, I would have gotten 20 years. Let’s be honest. I would have gotten Grand Slams taken away from me.”
In 2018, Williams was tested by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) five times in June.
This shows how many tests she gave during her career as a professional tennis star. Despite such passive pressure, she managed to win 23 Grand Slam titles.
