Sai Sudharsan played one of the best knocks of his Indian Premier League career as the Gujarat Titans beat the Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium (9 April).
Gujarat have now won four of their opening five games. With eight points, they are standing at the top of the IPL 2025 table.
Rajasthan’s third defeat have placed them seventh, with four points in five matches. Losing the toss did not go against the home side as they set a massive target of 218 for Sanju Samson’s side.
GT captain Shubman Gill was able to contribute just two runs. However, his opening partner Sai Sudharsan took just 53 balls to score 82 runs.
Keeping his good form alive, Jos Buttler added 36 runs followed by M Shahrukh Khan scoring 36 runs too. Unlike the Rajasthan Royals bowlers, the home side displayed a good show.
Prasidh Krishna taking three wickets led the bowling lineup. The Indian international got backing from Rashid Khan and Ravi Srinivasan Sai Kishore taking two wickets each and making sure they win a game by 58 runs.
Rajasthan were able to score just 159 all out in 19.2 overs.
