Ange Postecoglou has become another manager with whom Tottenham Hotspur fans are unhappy. However, the former Celtic boss is staying strong in one of the most challenging times in his managerial career.
The 14th-placed Spurs are seeing major problems in winning games in the 2024-25 English top-flight season, adding just 34 points in 30 games and losing 16 games.
Postecoglou took charge as Spurs boss in 2023. However, the Whites have failed to become a stable side under his direction yet.
The Australian football manager is facing strong criticism over not being able to make the stable side.
Spurs are miles behind getting a chance to play in Europe any time soon. They have not also added the replacement of England captain Harry Kane, who left Spurs for FC Bayern Munich in 2023.
Addressing the British media, Postecoglou said: “I never switch on the TV and hear any sort of strong voice.
“The only voice you hear is me. When we’re talking about the bigger clubs, there seem to be a lot more voices.”
Before joining the North London side, Postecoglou was known for being a major silverware winner. In 2015, he led Australia to win the AFC Asian Cup.
Not to forget that the 59-year-old manager made Celtic win the Scottish Premiership in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons.
Postecoglou’s side have the chance to finish outside PL’s top 10 for the first time in the club’s 17-year history. This is one of the key reasons the fans want the club to make a change. However, there is no confirmation regarding the sacking of Postecoglou from the management.
