Just before next week’s Masters Tournament, Rory McIlroy has shared that he is dealing with an elbow problem.
McIlroy, who is the World Number 2 golfer, did finish in the joint-fifth spot at the Houston Open last Sunday.
After not being able to win the 2025 Houston Open, he did say that the elbow issue was impacting his overall game.
He told the Golf Channel: “My right elbow has been bothering me a little bit so I’ll maybe just get some treatment on that and make sure that is OK going into Augusta.”
“I’ve got my coach Michael Bannon coming in. We’ll do some work and make sure everything is in good shape for a week’s time.”
McIlroy is aiming yet again to become only the sixth professional golfer to finish a career Grand Slam. However, his last such victory came at the 2014 US PGA Championship.
McIlroy; who is a four-time major winner, has started the season well, having already won the Players Championship and Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year.
The 2025 Masters Tournament will take place at the Augusta National Golf Club from 10th to 13th April.
