Sergi Altimira, who is one of the reported targets of Manchester City this summer, signed a new deal with Real Betis until the 2029 summer
Fabrizio Romano did report this first on X.
The 23-year-old central midfielder can adapt to the holding midfield position too. He has contributed two goals and an assist in 43 appearances in all competitions this season for the Spanish club.
Altimira’s new deal at Betis might make it harder for Manchester City to sign him in the 2025 summer transfer market.
In 2020, he made his debut for Sabadell. In the 2020-21 season, Altimira did spend a season-long loan at Granollers. However, he is yet to make a debut for Spain. The Sky Blues might see Altimira as a replacement for Mateo Kovacic or Ilkay Gundogan.
