KL Rahul scored an unbeaten 93 runs in just 53 balls as the Delhi Capitals beat the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.
DC, who are now unbeaten in their first four Indian Premier League games, won the toss and picked to bowl first.
The decision worked in their favour as Bengaluru scored just 163 runs at the cost of seven wickets in 20 overs.
Phil Salt’s 37 and Virat Kohli’s 22 gave a decent start to RCB. However, they lost the wickets from set positions. It includes even captain Rajat Patidar, who added 25 runs in 23 balls.
Tim David’s 38 runs in 20 balls played a decent role in the end, but the lack of contribution from the middle-order hit RCB hard.
Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each, helping the away side the most.
The DC top-order did not click, with Faf du Plessis (2 runs), Jake Fraser-McGurk (7) and impact player Abishek Porel (7) were able to add a combined 16 runs.
KL Rahul first made the partnership with captain Axar Patel, who scored 17 runs, and then led Delhi well with Tristan Stubbs.
Both KL Rahul (93 runs) and Stubbs (38 runs) played unbeaten knocks, making DC win the game in 17.5 overs.
RCB have now lost two of their opening five matches. Meanwhile, Delhi are the only unbeaten side in the IPL 2025.
