Glenn Phillips’ 2025 India Premier League season is over due to facing a groin injury against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 6.
It is a massive blow for the Gujarat Titans. The franchise said in a statement: “Gujarat Titans wish Glenn Phillips a speedy recovery”.
The New Zealand all-arounder was playing a role as a substitute fielder. As a result, he faced an injury in the 6th over.
While chasing the ball, he made a full stretch. It did make a problem in his groin. In GT’s first five matches this season, Phillips did not take part at all other than being a substitute fielder.
Gujarat are the Indian Premier League leaders, collecting eight points after five matches (winning 4, losing 1).
Meanwhile, Gujarat are hours away from facing the Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana International Cricket Stadium.
