Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan passed away at the age of 76 on Thursday (early morning). The famous Irish F1 pundit was battling with prostate cancer.
His family made a statement and said: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eddie Jordan OBE, the ex-Formula 1 team owner, TV pundit and entrepreneur.
“He passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20 March 2025.”
Jordan was not just a successful independent F1 team owner but was also famous for his straight forward approach as a pundit worldwide.
From 1991 to 2005, he ran his F1 team. They even won four grand prix in 15 years.
He did sell the team in 2005 after not being able to make consistent profits.
Then he was known for working as an expert in F1 for BBC Sport and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom.
