Luka Doncic’s 31 points, which includes an impressive performance in the first quarter, led the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 120-108 on Wednesday.
It was a game where some of the biggest names of the LA Lakers missed due to injuries. Nikola Jokic (elbow) and Jamal Murray (ankle) are two of the players other than LeBron James (hamstring) and Rui Hachimura (knee) to miss this crucial game.
Doncic’s 31 points came up with nine rebounds and seven assists. He made it happen in just three quarters.
In the contest, Lakers vs Nuggets, Austin Reaves’ 22 points also played a crucial role in winning this match. Reaves also contributed to the team with eight assists.
For the Nuggets, Aaron Gordon was the best performer with 26 points.
In the first quarter, Doncic’s impact led the Lakers to register their finest first quarter with 46 points this season. Doncic missed the game at Denver last Friday, losing the game 131-126.
It was a match when the Lakers were close to winning without Doncic and LeBron.
Los Angeles did have a 28-point lead after three rounds, allowing Doncic to rest for a while as there are five home games in the next seven days (for LA Lakers).
On Friday, the Nuggets will face the Trail Blazers away from home and The Lakers will welcome the Bucks on Thursday.
