Formula 1 happening in Thailand would a massive boost for the Asian nation and its evergreen tourism. Stefano Domenicali, who is the F1 chief executive, met Paetongtarn Shinawatra (Thailand Prime Minister) to have a discussion about a grand prix in Bangkok.
It would based on a street-circuit theme. Shinawatra did say that they are planning to host the mega F1 race for the first time in 2028.
In the city of Buriram, they have a FIA-approved track; which is in north-east of Thailand. Domenicali is impressed with the plan of Thailand Government, calling it “impressive”.
Paetongtarn said: “I believe that all Thai people will benefit from organising this event, whether it is large-scale infrastructure investment, job creation, new income generation, and importing new technologies and innovations.”
In a year or season, F1 holds 24 races. It includes even the races in Aisa-Pacific.
