Real Madrid, who are all set to face Arsenal in the Champions League, are reportedly looking at Jurgen Klopp as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti (as per Sport), who can still land another La Liga title for Madrid this season.
Klopp is handling the role of global head of football at Red Bull. He did leave the Liverpool head coach role last summer, after making the Reds win all the silverware possible during his tenure from 2015 to 2024.
Ancelotti made Real Madrid win the UCL twice during his second stint – 2021-22 and 2023-24.
In the 2021-22 UCL final, Ancelotti’s Real beat Klopp’s Liverpool 1-0.
However, Klopp has been considered one of the best modern football managers. He is also the first manager to make Liverpool win the Premier League title in the 2019-20 season.
Last week, Real Madrid lost 3-0 against Arsenal away from home in the first leg of the UCL quarters. Hence, there are high chances of not reaching the semis this season.
