The Indian Premier League is one of the biggest sports leagues in the world. As there is a battle between India and Pakistan in cricket, fans like to compare the IPL with the Pakistan Super League.
In 2025, the PSL is running around the same time as the IPL season. Hence, there is a big topic emerged in Pakistan where fans and journsalists are asking players if the PSL is better than the IPL.
Sam Billings, who played for the Delhi Daredevils (2016–2017) the Chennai Super Kings (2018-2019) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (2022) in the IPL, has been playing for the Lahore Qalandars since 2023 in the PSL.
He was asked recently about if the PSL is better than the IPL.
Billings told: “You want me to say something silly? It’s hard to look past the IPL as the premier competition in the world, it’s very obvious , every other competition is just behind, you know in England we are trying to do the same like PSL as the second best competition in world, Big Bash too trying to do the same.”
Indian cricket fans on social media troll the PSL for getting those foreign players who did not get selected in the IPL.
Hence, this debate has come bigger between two cricket loving nations.
